The Kickers brand started in the USA with their 'original jeans boot' in the early 70's, looking a bit like a mongrel of a a converse Hi, an Ugg boot and Hush Puppies! From the late 70's, the brand concentrated on success selling kids shoes, but became noticed in fashion circles when high-profile British rock and pop stars started wearing them in the early 90's. Still fashionable, fun, young and innovative, the Kickers brand is based around chunky boot-shoes with lots of bright styles and colours. Many Kickers are generally acceptable as a school shoe, while still letting the owner have some individuality!
